1. First, Get a box to keep your eggs warm and safe

Keeping temperature at the proper degree is very important in hatching eggs.
So you need to get a box which can keep eggs warm and safe.

Styrofoam and polystyrene boxes are good for protecting eggs from low temperature and they are also cheap and easy to find.

(This is a styrofoam box that we used as an incubator)

2. Second, set a temperature controller
Of course analog temperature controllers are cheaper than digital ones
However analog controllers are not as accurate as digital temperature controllers.
So we strongly recommend you to get a digital temperature controller!

This is FOX-1004 which is Conotec's digital temperature controller.

Conotec is world's best temperature and humidity controller manufacturer
and it offers reasonable price all the time.
Conotec also provides you with incredibly convenient repair service after you buy
Conotec's products.

3. Use control box for safer installation

Keep your temperature controller, FOX-1004 inside the control box

4. Be sure that you put the sensor near eggs
to decrease the temperature difference

These are quail's egg that we bought from the market

Let's see the eggs from the market hatch in 21 days

5. Install incandescent lamp

Egg incubation needs the proper temperature(36~37℃)
So we are going to install incandescent lamp to keep
egg incubator's temperature like at 36~37

When the temperature inside the incubator is low
the lamp will be turned on to keep eggs warm.

5. Eggs hatched
In 21 days 80% of quail's eggs hatched in the DIY EGG INCUBATOR !
LOOK HOW CUTE THEY ARE ! :D

6. Quails lay eggs 40 days after their incubation

The baby quails grow so fast!
Healthy quails can lay eggs when they are 40 days old.

Look these eggs are from quails that we hatched from homemade egg incubators.

That's all for making easy and simple HOMEMADE EGG INCUBATOR !

We hope this post helps you a lot to make your own DIY EGG INCUBATOR :)
